Choosing the correct umbrella base for your needs is an important decision. The base should be the proper size and weight regardless of your designing desires. If you choose the wrong base, it will put the umbrella in a suspect state.

I recommend a minimum of 70 lbs. for all umbrellas used with tables. If the umbrella is free standing (no table), I recommend 110 lbs bases.
